The company is engaged in the collection, transportation and disposal of waste and recyclables. It was established in 1992, with the purpose of management, indirectly, of the waste related services entrusted to the Provincial Council by the municipalities. Its registered office located in Jaen, Spain. The company is responsible for the collection, treatment and disposal of municipal waste in 96 of the 97 municipalities that comprise the province of Jaen. It has expertise in the operation of facilities for separating and sorting recyclable materials from non-hazardous waste streams and operating facilities where commingled recyclable materials, such as paper, plastics, used beverage cans, and metals, are sorted into distinct categories. It collects and disposes refuse by processing or destruction or in the operation of incinerators, waste treatment plants, landfills, or other sites for disposal of such materials. Aside from these services, the company offers washing of containers, rodent and insect removal, cleaning of ditches, roads and gardens, and separate collection of paper, cardboard, glass and light packaging for recycling.
